Bainbridges

Bainbridges is a family-run auction house in West Ruislip. The company was established in 1986 by Peter Bainbridge, who had previous experience running a west London auction house, and his wife Jane, a former cataloguer at Sotheby’s.

Bainbridges famously discovered a Chinese vase from a flat in Pinner during a house clearance in 2010 which went on to sell at auction for £43m. It became the subject of a long-running non-payment dispute which was eventually settled in 2013.
