Artcurial
Artcurial is an auction house in France that operate from the Hôtel Dassault in Paris, a Belle Epoque mansion on the Champs-Elysées.
It was founded in the 1970s as an art gallery in the Sabatier Espeyran Hôtel.
They now operate in eight countries including Italy, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Monaco.
1957 Ferrari sells for $50 million
15 February 2016A 1957 Ferrari 355 S Scaglietti sold at the Artcurial Motorcars auction for €32.1m (£24.7m) with premium to an international collector after “a tense, 11-minute bidding battle”.

14 April 2008A world record price for a comic-strip illustration was paid at a specalist sale at Artcurial in Paris on March 29: Georges Remi Hergé’s 1932 ink-and-gouache design for the cover of Tintin en Amérique.
Le Fur quits ArtCurial
02 April 2007Founding partner Rémy Le Fur has left ArtCurial, where he was in charge of sales of furniture and objets d’art, and notably secured the prestigious Rossignol Collection, the most important furniture sale in Paris during the 2005-06 season.
A €6m French auction record

Artcurial win ‘Tajan’
18 October 2005A French court has upheld the right of Paris auction firm Artcurial to use the name F. Tajan in their full title Artcurial Briest-Le Fur-Poulain-F. Tajan.
