One of the museum’s most prized possessions, the £150,000 barometer in the manner of Daniel Quare was shown being stolen on CCTV towards the end of May.
Its recovery followed a tip-off and led to arrests.
Fairfax barometer back on display
THE important 17th century ivory barometer stolen from the Fairfax House Museum in York has been recovered and is back on display in the museum.
