Though no official reason has been given, it is believed that clashes with the firm’s new owner, Rodica Seward, who acquired the firm from LVMH at the end of 2003, were behind the decision.
Seward has taken full-time control of the firm since last September. The firm’s founder, Jacques Tajan, father of François, severed official ties with the firm before Christmas.
Now Tajan son quits
François Tajan, chairman and principal auctioneer of Tajan SA, France’s leading auction firm for many years, is quitting the company and will leave at the end of April.
