The faculties will have greater autonomy than the existing seven divisions, setting standards and specialist qualifications. Fine Art and Antiques will constitute a separate faculty. Nominations for the faculty boards will be sought in July.
Art autonomy in new RICS
Following the decision earlier this year to reform the structure of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and to merge with the ISVA, the RICS will split into 16 faculties from the beginning of 2001.
