Mr Howald, who takes over from Kathleen Guzman, who is now Phillips’ president in New York, previously held the title of Executive Vice President for Phillips-Selkirk and has been with Selkirk’s for 15 years as manager, appraiser and auctioneer. He is a frequent lecturer, writer on antiques, media personality and charity auctioneer.
Mr Howald plans to develop specialist sales, customer service initiatives and a Trust department.
